Dennis Says:

"I love this board. Such an awesome colorway and super rare (I've only seen 2 of these IRL).  This is the last Burton board to be marked "Cruzer" (and it's the only Cruzer without a fin).  Burton also launched their "Safari" line this year (with a sick rainbow colorway!) –– the 1988 model was my very first snowboard."

Ashley says:

"Two things struck me about this piece. The first is the color, contrasting lilacs and yellow. Looking closer in person you’ll notice a midtone grey between the stripes. Yellows and purple next to each other tend to vibrate, meaning that looked at with your bare eyes the colors will look to be moving somehow they can almost make you dizzy. Although the grey I believe intended to remove the vibration it’s still there even after almost 40 years the colors have remained brilliant and saturated.

The second thing that struck me is that the artwork itself appears to be a mountain range in silhouette in front of a stylized sunrise or sunset for a regular-footed rider. For a goofy-footed rider it's a horizontal striped mountain range against a black sky, everyone has something to enjoy visually. Aesthetically this board wouldn’t look out of place on the set of Hot Dog The Movie"
